8. Physical Education (M.P.Ed):

A) A candidate should possess B.P.Ed with 50% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/Cat-I and 45% for OBC category candidates) obtained from any recognized University.

B) The age of candidates seeking admission to the M.P.Ed, degree course should be below 28 years as on 1st July of the year of admission, extendable upto 30 years for outstanding sports persons. Outstanding sports person means a candidate who has participated in recognized Inter-university/Inter-state/Inter-international sports or games competitions. In case of in-service candidates there is no age limit, subject to condition that they are medically fit. All candidates shall produce a medical fitness certificate issued by a medical Office of not less than the rank of District Surgeon

9. Physical Education (B.P.Ed):

A) Any graduate of Karnataka State Women’s University or any other university considered as equivalent there to who is physically fit and satisfies any of the following conditions will be eligible for admission to B.P.Ed Degree course.

i. For A candidate who has studied physical Education at the degree level

ii. A candidate who has represented University/State/Country in Sports/games and has secured 40% of marks in the Degree examination.

iii. A candidate who has won first/second/third place in the University Inter.-Collegiate competitions and has secured 40% marks in the Degree examination.

iv. A candidate who has secured 45% of marks in the Degree examination. Physical fitness of the candidate is assessed by administering National Physical Fitness Programme Tests of India as indicated in Regulation 6.

B) Candidates seeking admission to B.P.Ed. Degree course shall be below 26 years of age as on 1st July of year of admission. The age is relaxable up to 30 years for outstanding sports persons. Outstanding sports person means a candidate who has participated in recognized Inter- University/Inter-State/Inter-National sports/games competitions. However, in case of inservice candidates (trained physical Education teachers and coaches) there is no age limit provided, they are medically and physically fit. All candidates shall produce a medical fitness certificate issued by a medical Officer of not less than the rank on District Surgeon.

The eligible lady candidates may apply to the Registrar, Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur in the prescribed application form which is available on payment of Rs. 150/- (Rs. 75/- for SC/ST & Cat-I) during office hours. The DD/Challan shall be drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur. Those who desire to get the application form by post may send the self-addressed envelope (10” X 3”) by affixing stamp worth Rs. 15/- to the Registrar, Karnataka State Women’s University, Bijapur-586 101.

M.Sc. Electronic Media (Education) (a) Any Degree including Engineering from a recognized University / Institute.
(b) Preference will be given to B.A. / B.Sc. Visual Communication / Mass Communication, B.Sc. Electronics / B.Sc. Computer Science / B.Ed. degree students.
M.P. Ed. A Bachelor degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed. / B.P.E.S.) of this University or its equivalent under 10 + 2 + 3 system with a minimum of 50% marks. For SC / ST Candidates a Mere Pass will be Sufficient.

Candidates who will be completing their degree programme in the academic are also eligible to apply for admission. However, their admission will be considered only if they successfully complete the degree programme and satisfy the above eligiblity conditions at the time of admission. Candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility conditions on the day of admission will not be considered for admission.

The candidates should have completed 10+2+3 years of study before admission for the PG courses. Candidates who have done UG or previous level courses under Open University Scheme are not eligible for admission.

Objective

The entire course is a Two-year and Four –semester course. For three semesters there will be four theory courses and one lab course. The last semester will be Industrial training / Institutional project. The lab course of semester I and semester III and one theory course each from semester II and semester III are departmental Elective courses.

Eligibility
Students who have completed their BCA, B.Sc.(Comp.Sc.), B.E., with minimum 50% in graduation from a Statutory University may apply. Students appearing for their final year examination in March – June 2007 can apply.
